The School of Continuing Studies exists to serve the continuing educational needs of local, regional, national and international communities by providing exemplary educational opportunities for non-traditional students through degree, certificate and non-credit programs. It is also one of the academic units that make up the University of Richmond and, as such, it strives to meet the highest academic standards possible. In short, our goal is to offer quality programs and services in ways that recognize the unique circumstances of adults.
To achieve our mission, our faculty combine substantial practical experience with excellent teaching skills. And we offer them opportunities to enhance their respective abilities through an active development program. In terms of our curriculum, we seek substantial input from those employing our students and from our students themselves in an effort to be current and to offer education and training of immediate benefit. And we offer the full range of services trying to juggle their studies with work, family and other demands.
The University of Richmond experience is special and unique regardless of your age or any other characteristic, and the faculty and staff of the School of Continuing Studies remain committed to keeping it so.
