Massage Therapy
Put your stress in our hands! Receive numerous benefits from one of our professionally certified Massage Therapists with three hours of massage therapy. You will receive three full-hour, total body massages. Once registration is completed for all sections participants will be notified to begin scheduling appointments. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or massage time will be forfeited. Massage room is located in the Wellness Center in the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness. Please show up 10 minutes prior to your massage. The hour begins at your time of appointment. Individuals may only register for one section per semester. There will be opportunities for those who are unable to get into a Fitness Instructional Program section to make appointments for a massage. The Department of Recreation and Wellness will offer daily massage rates too! Please understand appointments are made on a first come, first serve basis within the scheduled time blocks.

Challenge Course Certification
Outdoor Adventure/Experiential Education
Two days of climbing, leaping and zipping not enough for you?? Then sign up for the Challenge Course Certification. This program includes the two-day High Ropes Course Certification plus a two-day training at the Challenge Discovery course in Doswell (near King's Dominion). Once participants have learned the ?ropes? of the Odyssey, they will spend the following weekend experiencing over 20 different low and high initiatives deep in the woods of Challenge Discovery's forest. The focus of this training is on the Risk Management, Operation, Presentation and Facilitation of all the Challenge Discovery low events as well as 4 of the High events: Alpine Tower, Quad, North/South Pole, and the Climbing Wall. After completing the four day training participants will receive a Challenge Course Certification and be eligible to work as a Facilitator for Challenge Discovery at both the University of Richmond's Odyssey and the Doswell course.

High Ropes Certification

Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is SOLO's most popular course and it creates a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Started as the ?Mountain/Woods First Aid? course in 1975, this was the first course of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based. WHO IS THE WFA FOR? The WFA is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. It also meets the ACA guidelines. WHAT IS TAUGHT? Bring a friend, family member or co-worker along who wants to achieve similar fitness goals! The two of you will share 5 one-hour training sessions with a personal trainer.
